Conner James Gehring, CFP®, CLU®, CLTC®

Wealth Management Advisor

Professional

As a Northwestern Mutual Advisor, professionalism is defined not only by the measure of one's experience, education and accreditation, but by one's character and professional standard of practice in supporting clients as a trusted financial expert and leveraging the network and team of Northwestern Mutual. Through personal commitment, professional associations, accreditations and continuing education, Conner has worked hard to establish a reputation as a respected professional and to gain the trust of clients.

Conner has earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification, Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation from the American College, and the Certificate in Long-Term Care (CLTC).

The Certified Financial Planner™(CFP®) certification is one of the most recognized financial planning marks in the world. CFP® certification identifies to the public those individuals who have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when dealing with clients. The certification differs from an educational designation or state license in that it is based upon requirements that have been determined by extensive job analyses of actual practitioners in the field, and therefore, continue to evolve with the profession. The CFP® certification prepares the financial services professional for a career-long commitment to meeting the ever-changing financial needs of clients.

In the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) program, Conner learned how to fully serve the diverse needs of his individual and business clients through in-depth insurance knowledge. Upon completion, Conner gained the expertise to provide guidance to clients on types and amounts of life insurance, make recommendations on aspects of risk management, and expert knowledge of various insurance solutions. A CLU® designee understands the legal aspects of life insurance, and assisting clients in making decisions about estate planning, including various wills and trust arrangements.

The Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC®) designation was created in 1999. It focuses on the discipline of extended care planning and provides professionals with the critical tools necessary to discuss the subject of longevity and its consequences on their client's family and finances. Students learn how to mitigate these consequences by developing a plan to protect their clients and their families. The CLTC® designation has been recognized and supported by The American College, NAIFA, and major insurance carriers.
